Hello there! I'm Hal, better known by my handle, "HeavyViper." I live in Perth, Western Australia - one of the most isolated capitals on the Earth - and hold mostly niche interests. Because of this, I spend a lot of time online.

Having spent the better part of my life on the net, it's a bit odd that I haven't had any solid presence on it. Like a site of my own, say. Now, thanks to the generosity and kind support of friends, I do.

In the last few years, I've made somewhat of a name for myself crafting soundtracks and sound effects for video games - something I used to dream of doing. Along the way, I've met good people and collaborated on some great projects. I'd dearly like to stay on this path and continue to help others bring their art to life through sound.

My site's name was chosen for several reasons. Firstly, as a mark of respect towards Toaplan, a developer responsible for games that struck a deep chord with me as a child, and that continue to inspire me. It's also an an incredible piece of music!

More importantly, it's a personal goal. All the works that I've truly resonated with over the years have struck me with the same feeling. A warm, almost burning sensation in my core that spreads outward to become a tingling on my skin. A pure excitement that spreads in the blink of an eye - "like raging fire." It is my sincere hope that my work can help spark this same feeling in others.
